I was backpacking and travelled to Base camp on Chinese side with no Gear , just one jacket ( Tibet guide told me: "Base Camp no cold my friend , is OK" . My experiences from there: Teeth Chattering, cold, freezing, shivering, human voice . You go there get the best sleeping bag you can find.

Don't lose your stuff (iPhone, Blackberry, passport, ID, $, cards, keys, insulin pumps, EpiPens, cameras, etc...& did someone say tampons?! yup. definitely for those too). Wear em on thigh, calf, ankle, arm, waist... Just google "portapocket" & come on by!
